Police Issue Summer Theft Warning

Wednesday, July 10th, 2013

Whilst the natural instinct is to leave windows and doors open to allow air into your home, opportunist thieves may take advantage of the situation and attempt to grab and steal valuable household items.

Police have encouraged the public to be extra vigilant with such things as leaving your door open, particularly if you leave your car keys within arm’s reach. The police are also reminding the public that even if you are outside or nearby, it is still important to keep sheds and garages shut and locked at all times, to avoid the risk of items being stolen.
