Hormann (UK) Ltd has announced that David Newcombe, currently Sales and Marketing Director, will take over the role as Managing Director from Richard Warom in 2013. Having worked in the garage door industry for over 17 years, Newcombe is ideally placed to continue the excellent foundations laid by his predecessor.
Commercial Director, Alan Jenkins will continue to head up the industrial division, which is now recognised as the market leader in both industrial doors and loading bay solutions.
Hormann have also expanded the experience of its management team by appointing Shirley Dixon to the role of Commercial Manager for their domestic division. The objective of the new role will be to improve the quality of service provided to customers and consumers, with a focus on product support.
Hormann’s domestic division has also recruited Amy Fisher as Field Sales Support Administrator, whose role it will be to provide support to key accounts and sales teams from head office. It is hoped that the role will speed up response times and free up the sales teams to spend more time with customers.
The senior management changes are expected to ensure that the excellent reputation built by the previous team is maintained and developed. The focus moving forward will be upon improving service and responsiveness, while adapting to future challenges.
